A Little History about .AM

The .AM Country Code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD) was originally released in 1994. This ccTLD is managed by the Internet Society of Armenia (ISOC.AM), the Armenian chapter of Internet Society (ISOC). ISOC.AM was founded in 1995 and took over managing control of the .AM ccTLD. It was originally intended for use in Armenia and Artsakh, however it's popular for domain hacks and connections to AM radio.

Anyone in the world can register the .AM extension, however Armenian law prohibits use of the .AM domain for certain things. Read about the rules of use for the .AM domain on dot.am. The registry reserves right to revoke registrations if the use of the domain breaks the rules.
